Software Test Engineer (m/f/x)

We are seeking for a talented Test Engineer to join our dynamic team and help ensure the quality of our web applications. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for manual testing as well as writing end-to-end (E2E) tests using Cypress. The ideal candidate should have experience in web application testing, be able to work independently, and be passionate about delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities

Conduct manual testing of web applications to identify defects and usability issues
Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
Develop and maintain E2E tests using Cypress to ensure that the application meets functional requirements and business needs
Test REST APIs
Use and configure other automated test tools and services
Identify and report software defects and work with the development team to resolve issues
Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Required

At least 2 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on web applications
Working experience with Cypress (or other E2E testing frameworks)
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
Basic knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML and CSS
Some experience with Agile development methodologies
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Additional (nice to have)

Experience in testing mobile applications is a significant plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience with frontend frameworks like React
German (spoken and written)
Experience in logistics
